Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ –

I am reaching out to you today to ask for support. THE BIBLE & THE BARN was founded in December 2025 with a mission to encourage people to grow their relationships with Jesus with the help of horses. Horses are a beautiful gift from God that help us in so many ways. Please continue to read to find out how our horses will help us with our mission.

Fellowship in the barn

Once a week we host fellowship gatherings in the barn. Currently, this is open to youth ages 7-17 on Mondays and adults 18+ on Thursdays. The Holy Spirit is FILLING our barn! Participants come in and take care of the animals. Together, we muck stalls, prep hay, water and grain, then turn the horses in to their stalls. While the horses are eating, we gather in the tack room for fellowship. In the tack room, we discuss scriptures, share what the verses mean to us, spend time talking about what is going on in our lives and praying together. Finally, we head back into the barn to spend time with the horses. This past month we worked on haltering and leading the horses. We will continue to do basic groundwork with the horses as we work towards saddling and riding.

Community outreach

In December we participated in a parade and The West Middlesex Express. These events set us ON FIRE to share Jesus to the public with our horses! We are already scheduled to participate in The West Middlesex Express again this year. I personally saw so many faces light up seeing the horses. In order to be a reach for Jesus to everyone we pass by, we would like to have Bible Verse Tack on every horse. People love to pick out their favorite horse in a parade, and seeing a verse on their favorite horse may spark them to open up a Bible and see what it says, or even google it and then leaving them wanting more of God’s Word. One little spark is all it takes to light a fire in someone!
We are also very interested in participating in other community events, where we can bring the horses and share prayer and positivity with others. Prayer is powerful, horses have the ability to calm us, so let’s lay our hands on our horses’ necks and pray together.
We are happy to come and speak about our mission and how we see God working in us, in our participants and through our horses.

Equine community outreach

We are already scheduled to participate in a women’s retreat in North Carolina in March with our horses. We are looking forward to attending events like this, as well as horse shows, rodeos, and trail rides. At these events, participants will be the hands and feet of Jesus – there with a comforting smile and a helping hand when needed. People from all over will begin to recognize the verses on our tack and our logo, and know the Holy Spirit lives in us and that they want the Holy Spirit to live in them too. I pray that we are able to save many souls this way.

Member outreach

As our membership builds, we hope to have member outreach, where we work together to support members in need. In my mind, this looks like a group of us working together to help someone get their hay put up, working to complete a big task that is just too much to do alone, assisting with care in emergency situations, being the village to support each other.

All of these outreach programs take time and money. I have prayed so many prayers about this nonprofit, that it fulfills God’s Will, that we touch many lives, that we are pleasing to God in every way, and that all of the needs of the horses and the programs will be met. We have different fundraisers in mind to implement throughout the year, but to start the year off, we are seeking sponsors. If you believe in our mission and are able to support us financially, we are extremely grateful. We are 501(c)3 nonprofit, your contributions are TAX DEDUCTIBLE under IRC Section 170. If you cannot, we ask that you lift our mission up in prayer specifically the God’s will be done, ability to reach many souls, safety for our horses and participants, and that the needs of our programs be met.
